We’re Jimmy Doherty and Stevie Sheppard, conservationists, brewers and founders of Crafted Conservation.

From rescuing polar bears to rebuilding habitats, we’ve spent our lives fighting for nature. But we wanted to find a better way to help fund that work. Something sustainable, something joyful and something people could actually enjoy.

So, we brewed it.

When you crack open a Crafted Conservation beer or cider, or buy a piece of merch, you are helping support real rescue, real habitat protection and real hope for wildlife.

This is Diego, the bear that started it all.

Diego needed a safe place to call home. His rescue showed us how much one bear could inspire people to care, give and believe that real change was possible.

Diego became more than a rescued bear. He became a symbol of what can happen when people come together for wildlife, and today his image sits at the heart of the Crafted Conservation brand, from our logo to our drinks labels, packaging and BEAR range.

His story helped inspire the growth of Space for the Wild, a charity supporting animal rescues and protecting wild spaces in Suffolk and beyond. But we wanted to do more than ask people to donate. We wanted to create something people could enjoy, something that could keep giving back long after the appeal was over.

So, we raised a glass to Diego.

And that glass became BEAR.

Crafted Conservation now works with brilliant brewery and cider partners who share our belief that good drinks can do good work.
